Great Western pre event info
We're just a few days away from the Great Western Sportive now and looking forward to a great day! The weather looks good, entries are piling in and we're busy ticking off those last minute details.
You should have received your pre event information sheet by email by now; if you haven't seen it, check your inbox and your junk folder! If you've only entered in the last couple of days, don't worry, we'll be sending the information out to everyone again tomorrow (Thursday).
This sheet includes the basic event location and time information that is featured on our website plus a full rundown of the event day procedure and further information, including a printable copy of the route map. We recommend you read this thoroughly to help you get the most out of the day.
In addition to the route map, gps compatible files will be made available. A download link for these GPS files will be emailed to you after 5pm on Thursday. This email will also advise of late route changes, if any (we have been liaising with the local highway authorities and don't expect any at this time). Several different GPS formats will be included to make your life as easy as possible, but if you want to get a head start on loading your GPS and don't mind doing a bit of file conversion, you can already download a Google Earth file of each route variant form the bottom of the routes pages on our website.
We have also uploaded the rider list to the event pages; this is currently up to date for entries and amendments received by end of day Monday. A final list, including late entries and showing your rider numbers will be uploaded end of day Thursday.
So, keep an eye on your email, make sure your bike is in good shape and start slapping on the Factor 15; we'll see you on Sunday!
